Kari Clark

Hello! My name is Kari Clark. I am running for School board at-large for the city of Somersworth.
 

A little about me. First, I want to say that I love Somersworth. My family and I have lived here for the past 10 ½  years. I have three children in the school system. One in SHS and two in SMS. I have been a personal trainer for 9 years and recently took a full time position at Wentworth Douglass Hospital working in the Physical Therapy Department.

 

I am not running for school board thinking that I know it all or know better than anyone else. The current board has had a difficult road these past years. They were faced with difficult situations. Trying to navigate through COVID. Trying their best to keep our kids safe. I do not agree with all of what they decided, but they all are families from Somersworth. They all live here and enjoy our community with us and I believe that they did what they felt was best at the moment.

 

First and foremost, I am running for the families of Somersworth. From my own personal experience as a parent, I have felt not heard. I want to be the voice for the families of Somersworth. I understand that I am running as a civil servant and I will be working for the people. I think it is important to remember what the responsibilities of a school board member actually are and who my vote represents. Not just my ideas, but the ideas of many.
